# BillGuard — full public guide > Short index: https://billguardapp.com/llms.txt # BillGuard > BillGuard helps people review electricity, water and gas bills, identify possible billing issues, and prepare evidence for a conversation with their utility provider. Canonical page: https://billguardapp.com/en ## What the product does Upload a bill photo or PDF, or enter bill details manually. BillGuard extracts billing dates, amounts, taxes, usage, rates and identifiers, then provides checks for possible inconsistencies, estimated readings, catch-up charges and unusual line items. Review extracted values against the original bill. Findings are AI-assisted and can be wrong; a flagged issue is not proof of an overcharge. One bill supports checks within that bill. Comparisons across billing periods require suitable previous bills. Paid access supports PDF/CSV evidence exports and dispute-letter preparation. The user reviews the evidence and contacts the provider; BillGuard does not guarantee refunds, savings or successful disputes. The website supports English, Chinese and Spanish. The iPhone app is listed on the [App Store](https://apps.apple.com/app/id6799556105); consult the listing for current availability and requirements. ## Public website sections - [Analyzers](https://billguardapp.com/en/analyzers): electricity, water and gas bill checking entry points. - [Guides](https://billguardapp.com/en/guides): educational billing guides. - [Dispute templates](https://billguardapp.com/en/dispute): help preparing a billing dispute. - [Lower your bill](https://billguardapp.com/en/lower): educational ways to investigate costs. - [Provider guides](https://billguardapp.com/en/providers): provider-specific billing information. - [Blog](https://billguardapp.com/en/blog): English articles. - [Chinese homepage](https://billguardapp.com/zh) and [Spanish homepage](https://billguardapp.com/es). [Create an account](https://billguardapp.com/en/signup) or [sign in](https://billguardapp.com/en/login). 2. Open the authenticated upload page and upload a clear JPEG, PNG, WebP or PDF file, up to 8 MB, or enter details manually. 3. Check extracted amounts, dates, usage, units and identifiers against the original bill. Missing or unreadable evidence can limit the analysis. 4. Read the findings and verify suspicious lines with the provider. Add comparable previous bills when you need historical comparisons. 5. With eligible paid access, export the evidence pack or prepare a dispute letter, review it, and contact the provider yourself. ## Evidence and limitations A first bill without comparable history is a current-bill review. It cannot establish a month-over-month change, a personal average or a historical trend. Missing historical data is not evidence of an abnormal increase. Different units, billing periods or meter-read types may make bills unsuitable for comparison. Potential savings are estimates, not money recovered. BillGuard does not automatically dispute a charge, pay a utility bill or provide a binding legal determination. Users should verify findings and local dispute requirements. Educational tools and example results are not a diagnosis of a user's own bill. ## Related sources - [Document index](https://billguardapp.com/llms.txt) - [Product overview](https://billguardapp.com/agents/index.md) - [Usage and limitations](https://billguardapp.com/agents/usage.md) - [Pricing](https://billguardapp.com/agents/pricing.md) - [Privacy and support](https://billguardapp.com/agents/privacy.md) --- # BillGuard pricing Canonical page: https://billguardapp.com/en#pricing ## Website plans - Free: 0 USD; 1 full bill analysis per month, with findings viewed online. Bill images and extracted text are sent to cloud storage and third-party AI model providers for analysis. Processing is not entirely on-device. BillGuard states that it does not sell bill data. Uploaded files use non-public storage and authorized access. Users can export data or delete their account in settings; some payment records may be retained in anonymized form for legal and accounting obligations. See the current policy for details. Public website analytics and iOS data practices differ; do not infer that the website has no analytics from the iOS policy. ## Asking another AI about BillGuard The footer's AI links contain a generic question and public documentation URLs. They do not include uploaded bills, account identifiers or analysis results. Clicking opens the selected third-party service, which has its own terms and privacy practices. Do not paste bills, utility account numbers, service addresses or payment details into these chats to research the product. ## Authoritative policies and contact - [Privacy policy](https://billguardapp.com/en/privacy) - [Terms of service](https://billguardapp.com/en/terms) - [Refund policy](https://billguardapp.com/en/refund-policy) - [Contact](https://billguardapp.com/en/contact) - Support: support@billguardapp.com This summary does not replace the current policies linked above. ## Related sources - [Document index](https://billguardapp.com/llms.txt) - [Product overview](https://billguardapp.com/agents/index.md) - [Usage and limitations](https://billguardapp.com/agents/usage.md) - [Pricing](https://billguardapp.com/agents/pricing.md) - [Privacy and support](https://billguardapp.com/agents/privacy.md)
